Hey all!!!

So we didn't have the best turn out to the corn maze, but that's because we found out the clinic was not handing out the business cards.......Those who did attend had a great time!!!!
We hope now that the clinic has agreed to give out the business cards with the email address and link on it that the next event will be even better.
We are going to wait a little while before setting up the next meeting as the cards are just making there way out now, but please in the mean time keep checking the blog for more updates and if you have ideas for our next meeting please email bandtogetherwinnipg@gmail.com

New Winnipeg Lap Band Support Group

Hi all,

A few of us who have had the lap band surgery thought it would be nice to have a support group here in Winnipeg for anyone who is thinking about having the surgery and for those who have already had it done. Our goal is to help each other with this ongoing struggle, and to have a comfortable, casual and laid back atmosphere where everyone including family members can feel free to ask questions, share information and so on.

Our first meeting will take place on Sunday September 19th, 2010 at 1:00pm @ Amazein Corn located 10 minutes (16km) south of the Perimeter Hwy on St. Mary’s Rd. The site is under Band Together Winnipeg, everyone including your family are welcome to attend (no pets). You'll need to bring your own food/drink and lawn chair as we'll have full access to a fire pit, roasting sticks and a BBQ. If you wish to do any of the other activities the prices are as followed

For the Maze
$9.00 Adults 13 and up
$7.00 Children 4-12
Children 3 and under are free
Petting Zoo is Free
Pony rides and hayrides are $3.00
